🧐 Did You Know? Greece's Neglected Forests are Turning into Green Wealth
Greece is implementing a sweeping forestry reform aimed at reversing the underutilization of its vast woodlands, which currently leaves millions of acres vulnerable to fires and illegal logging.
The reform introduces public and private partnerships, such as the Forest Labor Cooperatives and private investors to actively manage these forests. This new model is designed to boost economic output by harvesting biomass and timber, generating revenue back to local communities while significantly enhancing fire prevention and environmental protection.
