Did you know? Athens is Offering Free Guided Tours This Month
Throughout March, there are free guided tours offered in Athens, giving residents and visitors the chance to explore the city’s history, culture, and architecture with licensed guides. The program includes walking tours, archaeological site visits, and museum tours covering areas like the Ancient Agora, Aristotle’s Lyceum, Byzantine and Ottoman Athens, and the hills surrounding the Acropolis.
Participants can also visit museums, such as the Benaki Museum, National Gallery, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Numismatic Museum, and the Alekos Fassianos Museum. Some tours focus on specific themes like Athenian philosophy, architecture, sculpture at the First Cemetery of Athens, and even street art in Psyrri.
Spots are limited and each tour has a designated meeting point, so registering in ahead of time is recommended.
