Crackdown on Undeclared Rental Income, PM Plans to Lower Income Tax

💫 We're partnering with Berlitz Athens!

👋 Hey there expats,

In this week’s newsletter, we’re sharing with you our weekly roundup of news in Greece, concerning bureaucracy, immigration or administrative changes, and a very special announcement from us.

Our new partnership with Berlitz Athens ✨

Thinking of moving to Greece? 🇬🇷 One of the best gifts you can give yourself is to start learning Greek before you arrive. That’s why we’ve partnered with Berlitz Athens, a global leader in language and cultural training. Their programs focus on real-life situations you’ll actually encounter in Greece—like greetings, shopping, reading signs and menus—rather than stiff textbook phrases. You’ll also get cultural insights on Greek etiquette, holidays, and communication styles, so you’re not just learning the language, you’re learning how life really works here.

The result? You arrive in Greece feeling prepared, confident, and connected—not like an outsider watching life happen around you. You’ll make friends faster, feel less isolated, and integrate more quickly into Greek society.

If you’d like to connect with a Berlitz Athens Language Coordinator and find the right program for your relocation timeline, email [email protected] or respond to this email.

Young individuals will see an even greater benefit, as the government plans to introduce a zero income tax rate for workers under 25 earning up to €20,000 annually.

For expats who own property or are considering real estate investments, the package includes significant relief by halving and eventually abolishing the property tax (ENFIA) in rural villages. Read here.
