Several countries including Romania, the Czech Republic and France have sent firefighters to combat the wildfire raging in north-eastern Athens since Sunday. An offer for assistance from Spain and Turkey is expected to be finalized soon. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ambassador Mr. Mahmoud Abbas in Greece also offered assistance.
