Today marks the official Great Easter Week in Greece. On Holy Friday, (which is today) the famous tradition takes place, Epitaphios, a religious icon typically consisting of a large, embroidered and richly adorned cloth, bearing an image of the dead body of Christ and known as ā€œThe Extreme Humilityā€. The latter is carried and placed in the Tomb during this solemn and reverent service.
