Greece's Little Venice 🛶

🎉 Celebrating our first 10,000 views

đź‘‹ Hey there expats,

In this week’s newsletter, we’re bringing you Greece’s plans to transform the island of Poros, what is an IKE, and the journey to getting 10,000 views on our first YouTube video!

🎊 We’re celebrating our first ever YouTube video’s first 10,000 views!

9 months ago, we hosted a webinar on our brand new YouTube Channel about the pros and cons of living in Greece, and with only a few subscribers, over time we have managed to build an audience that resonated with our topics, and engaged with our content.

If you have any ideas on how we can improve our channel, or want to be featured as a speaker, reply to this email so we can get chatting!

Did you know?

In December of 2023, Greece’s Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, announced that Poros will become the third “green island” in the Aegean following the islands of Astypalaia and Halki. Plans were put in place to aid this “green” transformation:

  • Building a photovoltaic park to cover a significant part of the island’s annual energy needs

  • Powering the ferry connection between Poros and Galatas on the mainland with electricity, and also developing an e-ship to that effect

  • Boosting overall e-mobility in both public and private transportation
